On December 11, commencing at 2:10 p.m. for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. ONISHI Yohei, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call by Mr. Ahmed S. A. ALNAAS, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim, Embassy of the State of Libya in Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows:

  1. At the outset, Parliamentary Vice-Minister ONISHI mentioned Japan's cooperation in the fields of peacebuilding and human resource development. He also expressed Japan's expectation for high-level visits from Libya to Japan, including the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC).
  2. In response, Charge d'Affaires Alnaas expressed his gratitude for Japan's assistance and stated his desire to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields, including the economy, through vitalizing the exchange of high-level visits.
  3. Both sides concurred to continue to actively promote high-level exchanges between the two countries and cooperate towards advancing Japan-Libya relations in various fields, including economy and diplomacy.
