Courtesy Call on State Minister KUNIMITSU by Dr. NAKAJIMA Yuko, President, Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Japan

On December 4, commencing at 10:35 a.m. for approximately 30 minutes, Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from Dr. NAKAJIMA Yuko, President, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Japan. The overview is as follows.
- At the outset, President Nakajima expressed to State Minister KUNIMITSU the concerns regarding the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and the requests for assistance to those suffer injuries and illness in the Gaza Strip. An online petition was also handed over.
- In response, State Minister KUNIMITSU expressed her respect for the long-standing assistance activities of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in various parts of the world. She also stated that, referring to her own experiences in Palestine and other areas, she intends to continue working towards addressing the humanitarian situation on the ground.
