Exchanging Opinions between State Minister HORII and Mr. KOH, Chief Executive, Cyber Security Agency of Singapore

On December 3, commencing at 5.30 p.m. for approximately 30 minutes, Mr. HORII Iwao, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call by Mr. David KOH Tee Hian, Chief Executive, Cyber Security Agency of Singapore, who is visiting Japan on Japan’s Invitation Program. The overview of the meeting is as follows:

  1. At the outset, State Minister HORII stated that Japan wishes to further strengthen cooperation in the digital and cybersecurity fields between Japan and Singapore, which will mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year, on this commemorative opportunity.
  2. State Minister HORII further stated that, amidst the rapidly escalating threats in cyberspace, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan is promoting cyber diplomacy to strengthen cybersecurity in collaboration with like-minded countries.
  3. The two sides also exchanged views on the initiatives of both Japan and Singapore in the cyber domain and on advancing cooperation concerning cyber security.
