State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU attends the 32nd Yomiuri International Cooperation Award Ceremony for 2025
On December 2, Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the 32nd Yomiuri International Cooperation Award Ceremony for 2025 in Tokyo. She congratulated Ms. SEYA Rumiko, President of the Specified Nonprofit Corporation Reach Alternatives (REALs), on winning this year's award.
State Minister Kunimitsu expressed her respect for Ms. Seya, who also served as an official at the Embassy of Japan in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for her long-standing efforts in peacebuilding and her contribution to promote Women, Peace and Security (WPS). She also stated that Ms. Seya's awareness-raising activities rooted in her expertise of working in the field would bring hope to the international community.

This prize was established in 1994 to commemorate the 120th anniversary of The Yomiuri Shimbun and to honor individuals, groups or companies who have demonstrated the importance of contributing to the international community.
