Message of condolences from Foreign Minister MOTEGI Toshimitsu on heavy rain damage in the Republic of Indonesia
On November 30, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, delivered the following message of condolences to H.E. Mr. Sugiono, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia regarding the damage caused by floods and landslides resulting from heavy rains that began on November 26(the same day local time).
“The floods and landslides caused by heavy rains in various regions of Sumatra Island, the Republic of Indonesia, have resulted in the loss of precious lives and serious damage. I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the victims and express my sympathy to their families. I also sincerely pray for the swift recovery of those affected and the prompt restoration of the affected areas.
