On November 29, regarding the damages caused by the cyclone that struck Sri Lanka, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, issued the following message of condolences to Hon. Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
“The cyclone that struck Sri Lanka has caused flooding and landslides, resulting in damages, including the loss of many precious lives. I pray for the souls of the victims and extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I also offer my heartfelt prayers for the swift recovery of the affected people.
