Additional Measures under the IAEA framework related to the discharge of ALPS treated water into the sea

As a part of additional measures under the IAEA framework that Japan and the IAEA concurred on conducting in September 2024, the IAEA officials and experts from third-party laboratories will visit Japan and collect samples on December 5.
This is the sixth mission for conducting the additional measures, following October 2024, February, April, June, and September 2025.
The third-party laboratories from China, Republic of Korea, Russia, and Switzerland, will participate in the additional measures.
