Courtesy Call on State Minister KUNIMITSU by H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Japan

On November 25, Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows:

  1. At the outset, State Minister KUNIMITSU expressed her heartfelt condolences upon the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother. State Minister KUNIMITSU also expressed her desire to further deepen the relationship between the two countries as "Comprehensive Strategic Partners" toward the 140th anniversary of Japan-Thailand relations in 2027.
  2. In response, Ambassador Witchu congratulated State Minister KUNIMITSU on her appointment and expressed his intention to continue to work toward strengthening the relations between the two countries.
  3. The two also exchanged views on judicial and economic cooperation and the Thai-Cambodia border issue.
