Letter of Condolences by Foreign Minister Motegi on the Passing of Foreign Secretary Robert of the Federated States of Micronesia
On November 19, following the passing of Hon. Lorin S. Robert, Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Federated States of Micronesia on November 15, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, sent a letter of condolences to Mrs. Robert.
In his letter, Minister Motegi conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Secretary Robert upon receiving the news of his passing. Minister Motegi also noted that Secretary Robert, a Japan expert and a Japanophile, dedicated himself to the development of the amicable relationship between the two countries through bilateral initiatives as well as through the Pacific Islands Leaders Meeting (PALM) process. Minister Motegi expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family of Secretary Robert.
