Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs ERI’s Attendance at the Italian Armed Forces Day Reception

On November 4, Ms. ERI Arfiya, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, attended the Italian Armed Forces Day Reception held at the Italian Ambassador’s Residence and delivered her remarks on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. The overview is as follows:
- In her remarks, Parliamentary Vice-Minister ERI welcomed the entry into force of the Aqcuisition and Cross-Servicing Agreement (ACSA) between Japan and the Italian Republic. Noting that the security of Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific is inseparable, she stated that Japan and Italy are strategic partners sharing values and principles, and the long-standing friendly relations between the two countries have steadily progressed in the field of security and defense in recent years.
- Parliamentary Vice-Minister ERI expressed her expectation for the further development of exchanges between Japan and Italy. She also stated her determination, as Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, to contribute to reinforcing the bilateral relations.
