November 7, 2025

On November 7, the Government of Japan decided to send Mr. HORII Iwao, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, as Ambassador on Special Mission to the inauguration ceremony of President Rodrigo PAZ PEREIRA of the Plurinational State of Bolivia to be held in La Paz, the capital of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, on November 8.

Bolivia is an important partner of our country, with which we have maintained diplomatic relations for over 110 years. Furthermore, the community of over 10,000 people of Japanese descent reside in Bolivia acting as a bridge between our two nations. Further developing this amicable relationship between our two countries is why we have decided to appoint State Minister HORII as Special Envoy and send him to the ceremony.
