Regional Promotion Seminar FY 2025

On November 10, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, in collaboration with Fukui Prefecture, Masuda City (Shimane Prefecture), Hamada City (Shimane Prefecture) and Karuizawa Town (Nagano Prefecture), will hold the Regional Promotion Seminar FY 2025 in Tokyo.

  1. The Regional Promotion Seminar has been held annually since FY 2008, co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and local governments, with the aim of providing information to the diplomatic corps in Japan and other participants on characteristics and policies of co-hosting local governments.
  2. In this year's seminar, each aforementioned local government will make a presentation to the diplomatic corps and other participants on its local industries, policies, tourism, local products, among others. Additionally, they will introduce the diverse attractions of each region through booth displays and stage performances.
  3. It is expected that the seminar provides the participants with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the various attractions of each region, as well as to foster exchanges between participants and the co-hosting local governments.
