Foreign Miniser MOTEGI’s Attendance at the APEC Ministerial Meeting

Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, will visit the Republic of Korea from October 29 to October 31 to attend the APEC Ministerial Meeting in Gyeongju.
- At the meeting, Minister MOTEGI will discuss issues related to trade and investment as well as emerging challenges such as artificial intelligence (AI) and demographic changes.
He will express Japan’s position on these issues and demonstrate Japan’s firm commitment to sustainable economic growth and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region. - On this occasion, Minister MOTEGI also plans to hold bilateral meetings with other ministers from other economies, including the Japan-U.S.-ROK Trilateral Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, to exchange views on bilateral relations, regional and international affairs, among other topics.
