Presentation Ceremony for “the Japan Foundation Awards 2025”
On October 22, the presentation ceremony for "the Japan Foundation Award 2025" was held in Tokyo. Mr. SUZUKI Hideo, Representative of the Government of Japan for Public Diplomacy (Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary), attended the ceremony to congratulate this year's recipients: Mr. Marty Gross (Marty Gross Film Productions, Producer/Director), Professor JUNG Giyoung (Pusan National University of Foreign Studies).
Ambassador SUZUKI introduced that this year's awardees have contributed to the international exchange by practicing shining a light on each individual in various circumstances, walking alongside their wishes, and interacting with respect. He also stated that the cultural programs and Japanese language education advanced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan through its overseas missions, in collaboration with the Japan Foundation and related organizations, are spreading worldwide with the support of advocates and practitioners of Japanese culture, including Director Gross and Professor Jung.
The presentation ceremony was attended by many people involved in culture and arts.
