State Minister for Foreign Affairs FUJII’s attendance at the Reception Commemorating the Visit of H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria and H.R.H. Prince Daniel of Sweden

On October 13, Mr. FUJII Hisayuki, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, attended the Reception Commemorating the Visit of Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria and His Royal Highness Prince Daniel of Sweden, which was held in Tokyo, and delivered his remarks on behalf of the Government of Japan. The overview is as follows:
- In his speech, State Minister FUJII stated that Japan and Sweden are strategic partners sharing common values and principles, and enjoy a long-standing friendship based on exchanges between Japanese Imperial Family and Swedish Royal Family. State Minister FUJII welcomed the visit to Japan by H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria and H.R.H. Prince Daniel, following the visit of His Majesty the King Carl XVI Gustaf in May.
- While mentioning H.R.H. Crown Princess’ visit to the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, State Minister FUJII stated that Their Royal Highnesses’ visit to Japan this time is a special opportunity to further strengthen Japan-Sweden relations, and that he would like to work on further deepening and developing the relationship between the two countries.
