Emergency Assistance to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam in Response to the Typhoon Disaster
Today, October 10, upon the request of the Government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, the Government of Japan has decided to provide emergency relief goods (Blankets, jerry cans and others) through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam in response to the damages caused by the Typhoons.
In light of the humanitarian perspective and the close relations between Japan and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, Japan has decided to provide emergency assistance to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to support the people affected by the Typhoons.

In the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, the Typhoon Mitag, Ragasa, Bualoi and Matomo struck the country from the middle of September has resulted in a large number of those affected including the loss of lives, and significant physical damage. According to the Government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, as of October 6, 67 people died and missing, 172 people were injured, 653,266 people have affected, 389 houses were destroyed, and 179,881 houses were damaged.
