Diplomats’ Study Tour in Matsuura City, Nagasaki Prefecture

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will conduct a study tour in Matsuura City, Nagasaki Prefecture, for diplomatic corps in Japan on September 30 and October 1, 2025, co-hosted by Matsuura City.

  1. Diplomats’ study tour program, co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and local governments, have been held annually since 2010 to introduce the diverse charms of Japan’s regions, such as local history, culture, tourism, specialties and industries, to the diplomatic corps in Japan.
  2. The tour this time, under the theme of“Home of Aji Fry × Underwater Archaeology Sanctuary – An Experience Tour of Local Attractions”, will introduce the diverse charms of Matsuura City to the diplomatic corps by providing opportunities to experience the blessings of the sea and observe valuable historical artifacts.
  3. The tour is expected to deepen the diplomatic corps' understanding of diverse charms and attractions of Matsuura City and to foster stronger ties between Matsuura City and participating countries.
