Three ministers of the Kingdom of Belgium to Visit Japan

H.E. Mr. David Clarinval, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Employment, Economy and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Belgium, and H.E. Ms. Vanessa Matz, Minister of Public Action and Modernization, in charge of Public Enterprises, the Civil Service, State Real Estate Management, Digital and Scientific Policy of the Kingdom of Belgium, will pay a visit to Japan from September 13 to 16. H.E. Mr. Maxime Prévot, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium, will also pay a visit to Japan from September 15 to 17.

  1. During their stay in Japan, Deputy Prime Minister Clarinval and Minister Matz will participate in the Belgium National Day event at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, on September 14.
  2. During their stay, the three ministers are scheduled to hold meetings with relevant ministers and other officials and to have economic contacts. On September 16, Mr. IWAYA Takeshi, Foreign Minister of Japan and H.E.Mr. Prévot, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs, and Development Cooperation will hold a Japan-Belgium Foreign Ministers' Meeting and a working lunch.
  3. It is expected that the visit of Deputy Prime Minister Clarinval, Deputy Prime Minister Prévot and Minister Matz to Japan and Belgium’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, will further strengthen the close relationship between Japan and the Kingdom of Belgium.
