On September 10, commencing at 15:15 p.m. for approximately 30 minutes, Mr. FUJII Hisayuki, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from Honourable Scott MOE, Premier of Saskatchewan, Canada, during his visit to Japan. The overview is as follows.

  1. At the outset, State Minister Fujii stated that Japan and Canada are important strategic partners in the Indo-Pacific region that share fundamental values, and that Japan would like to further strengthen its relationship with Saskatchewan. In response, Premier Moe stated that Saskatchewan would like to further advance cooperation with Japan.
  2. State Minister Fujii and Premier Moe exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including energy and food security, as well as the strengthening of economic ties, and confirmed their commitment to further cooperation in the future.
