The Thirteenth Japan-Cambodia Human Rights Dialogue

The 13th Japan-Kingdom of Cambodia Human Rights Dialogue was held on August 29 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

  1. The dialogue was led respectively by Mr. TSUTSUMI Naohiro, Ambassador for Human Rights and International Peace and Stability, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and H.E. Mr. KE Sovann, Under Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
  2. During this dialogue, both countries exchanged views on efforts and measures on human rights topics such as freedom of expression, assembly and association, freedom of press/media and right of access to information, and free and fair elections. Both countries also had discussions on the judicial reform and legal aid program, protection for rights of vulnerable people, and the cooperation in the field of human rights in the international arena.
