Courtesy Call on Minister IWAYA Takeshi by Mr. SASAKAWA Yohei and Dr. SUNAMI Atsushi

On Friday, July 25, commencing at 1:00 p.m., Mr. IWAYA Takeshi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from Mr. SASAKAWA Yohei, Honorary Chair of The Nippon Foundation, and Dr. SUNAMI Atsushi, President of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, for approximately 10 minutes. The overview is as follows.
- In the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Sasakawa handed Minister Iwaya the proposal on TICAD 9 to be held in Yokohama next month.
- In response, Minister Iwaya expressed his appreciation and stated his hope that TICAD 9 to be held in August this year will be an opportunity to co-create solutions that contribute to the prosperity of both Japan and Africa, leveraging Japan's technology and expertise, including AI and digital healthcare, under the theme of "Co-create Innovative Solutions".
