- The engagement of the IAEA is essential for resolving Iran’s nuclear issue. Japan has been calling on Iran to further cooperate with the IAEA. Japan strongly urges Iran to urgently resume full cooperation with the IAEA.
- Japan has consistently emphasized the importance of resolving Iran’s nuclear issue through dialogue based on the position that Iran's development of nuclear weapons must never be allowed for the sake of maintaining the international nuclear non-proliferation regime. Japan will continue to make all necessary diplomatic efforts in cooperation with the relevant countries and organizations, including the IAEA.
