Working lunch between State Minister for Foreign Affairs MIYAJI Takuma and H.E. Mr. Justin Hayhurst, Ambassador of Australia to Japan

On July 2, State Minister for Foreign Affairs MIYAJI Takuma visited the Embassy of Australia in Japan and held a working lunch with H.E. Mr. Justin Hayhurst, Ambassador of Australia to Japan.
During their meeting, the both sides affirmed their commitment to further strengthening Japan-Australia cooperation in areas such as security, economic relations, and cooperation with Pacific Island countries, positioning the Japan-Australia partnership as the central pillar of the coordination among like-minded countries in the international community.
They also concurred on deepening bilateral cooperation even further in light of the 50th anniversary in 2026 of the signing of the Basic Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Japan and Australia.
