Signing and Exchange of Notes Concerning Grant Aid “The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship” to Mongolia

On June 5, in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, Mr. IGAWAHARA Masaru, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia, and H. E. Mr. Bold JAVKJLAN, Acting Minister of Finance of Mongolia, signed and exchanged notes concerning the grant aid project for Human Resource Development Scholarship (grant provision of up to 342 million yen).
- In Mongolia, it is important to develop high-quality human resources who can contribute to solving various development issues, including the diversification of the industrial structure. Japan has been talking measures to support sustainable economic growth in Mongolia, and this cooperation is part of that effort, supporting young administrative officers and others in obtaining degrees (master’s or doctor’s) at Japanese graduate schools.
- Through this cooperation, up to 16 young administrative officers and others from Mongolia will study at our country's graduate schools in fiscal year 2026. It is expected that the human resources developed through this cooperation will contribute to solving the development challenges of Mongolia in various fields in the future, as well as contribute to the promotion of mutual understanding and building of friendly relations between our country and Mongolia.
