June 2, 2025
The visa waiver measure of a period not exceeding 30 days has been in operation since 2022 for ordinary passport holders of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who wish to enter Japan. From July 1, 2025, the period of stay without a visa will be extended from the current 30 days to 90 days for those who meet the following requirements.
It is expected that the exchange between Japan and the UAE will further expand in the future by this visa waiver measure which would bring an increase in the number of tourists from the UAE to Japan and improvement of convenience in conducting business activities.
