Dispatch of Ambassador on Special Mission (Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs ERI Arfiya) to the Inauguration Ceremony of the President of the Republic of Ecuador

On May 20, the Government of Japan decided to send Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs ERI Arfiya as Ambassador on Special Mission to the inauguration ceremony of President Daniel Noboa Azín of the Republic of Ecuador to be held in Quito, the capital of the Republic of Ecuador, on May 24.

Ecuador is a traditionally amicable country with which Japan shares values and principles, and through more than a century of diplomatic relations, the two countries have deepened their cooperation in various fields, including politics, economics, and culture. In order to further strengthen these good relations between the two countries, the Government of Japan has appointed Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs ERI Arfiya as Ambassador on Special Mission and decided to dispatch her to attend the ceremony.
