Emergency Assistance to the Plurinational State of Bolivia in Response to the Damages caused by the Flood Disaster
On April 10, upon the request of the Government of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, the Government of Japan has decided to provide emergency relief goods (Engine Pumps) through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to the Plurinational State of Bolivia in response to the flood damages.
In light of the humanitarian perspective and the close relations between Japan and Bolivia, Japan has decided to provide emergency assistance to support the disaster victims.

Heavy rains continued throughout the entire area of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, including the capital, La Paz, resulting in a large number of those affected including the dead, the injured, the missing and physical damages. According to the Government of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, the disaster has caused 55 deaths and 8 missing, affected approximately 170,000 households, and flooded approximately 90,000 hectares of farmland (as of April 8).
