Courtesy Call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs FUJII by H.E. Mr. Evrard, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Japan

On April 7, commencing at 5:20 p.m., for approximately 30 minutes, Mr. FUJII Hisayuki, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call by H.E. Mr. Antoine Evrard, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows.
- At the outset, State Minister Fujii expressed that he was pleased to see that cooperation with Belgium is being promoted at various levels, referring to the Japan-Belgium Foreign Ministers’ Working Lunch held on April 4. In response, Ambassador Evrard expressed his desire to continue to work closely with Japan.
- They exchanged views on a variety of topics, including Belgium’s participation in the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, the 160th anniversary of Japan-Belgium friendship in the coming year, the situation in Ukraine and the situation in East Asia.
