On March 17, regarding the devastating damages caused by tornadoes and storms in the Midwest and South of the United States of America, Foreign Minister IWAYA Takeshi sent the following message of condolences and sympathies to the Honorable Marco Rubio, Secretary of State of the United States of America.
“I am deeply saddened by the devastating damage caused by tornadoes and storms in the Midwest and Southern regions of the United States. My heartfelt condolences go to those who lost their lives, and I sincerely wish a swift recovery of the injured and all those affected by this disaster. I extend my deepest sympathies to the Government and people of the United States. Japan stands with the United States in this difficult time.
