Talks between State Minister for Foreign Affairs MIYAJI and Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade of the Kingdom of Bhutan D.N Dhungyel

On February 17, (same day local time), Mr. MIYAJI Takuma, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, held talks with H.E. Lyonpo D.N Dhungyel, Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Kingdom of Bhutan during his visit to Muscat, Oman, to attend the 8th Indian Ocean Conference. The overview of the talks is as follows.
- Referring to the good relations between Japan and Bhutan since before the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Minister Dhungyel expressed his appreciation for Japan’s development assistance to Bhutan, especially the yen loan project “Hydro Power Plants Construction Project” signed today.
- State Minister Miyaji expressed his desire to work for the development of Japan-Bhutan relations and his hope that many Bhutanese people would visit Japan on the occasion of the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
