Dispatch of the Survey Team to Support Recovery and Reconstruction following the earthquake in Port Vila in the Republic of Vanuatu

In response to the damages caused by the earthquake in Port Vila, the capital of the Republic of Vanuatu, Japan has decided to dispatch a Survey Team to support the rapid recovery and reconstruction of Vanuatu, through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
- The team is expected to investigate the damage to critical infrastructure such as roads, bridges, ports, and hospitals, and to use the results to consider future support measures.
- Through this survey, Japan will consider how to support Vanuatu in achieving a “Build Back Better” recovery.
