Foreign Minister Iwaya’s attendance at the 33rd general meeting of the Club Franco-Japonais

On November 22nd, Mr. IWAYA Takashi, Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the general meeting of the Club Franco-Japonais. The overview is as follows.

  1. At the outset, Minister Iwaya welcomed the representatives of the French business community to Japan and offered his congratulations on the holding of the Club Franco-Japonais’s 33rd general meeting, while paying tribute to the efforts of all those involved with the club.
  2. Minister Iwaya mentioned that the Roadmap on Japan-France Cooperation issued last year confirmed the further development of the economic partnership, and stated that he would encourage cooperation between companies of the two countries, making use of (*) officials in charge of cross-border economic affairs at the Embassy of Japan in France.
  3. Finally, Minister Iwaya expressed his hope that many visitors will come to the French Pavilion at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, and that cooperation between Japan and France will be further deepened through the exchange of views at this meeting.
