Courtesy call on Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs IKUINA Akiko by Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale, In-Charge, Foreign Affairs Department, Bharatiya Janata Party

On November 15, commencing at 2.30p.m. for approximately 20 minutes, Ms. IKUINA Akiko, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call by Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale, In-Charge, Foreign Affairs Department, Bharatiya Janata Party, who is visiting Japan on Japan’s Invitation Program. An overview of the meeting is as follows.
- At the outset, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Ikuina welcomed Dr. Chauthaiwale’s visit to Japan and stated that India is an important partner toward realizing a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” and she would like to contribute to strengthening Japan-India relations.
- Parliamentary Vice-Minister Ikuina stated that Japan and India are promoting cooperation in a wide range of areas under the “Special Strategic and Global Partnership” and she would like to further promote cooperation in various areas such as security, economy, and people to people exchange. Dr. Chauthaiwale stated that Japan is an important partner of India and he would like to further strengthen Japan-India relations.
