The 6th Japan-EU Cyber Dialogue

On Monday, November 11, the 6th Japan-EU Cyber Dialogue was held in Tokyo.
- Mr. SAITA Yukio, Ambassador in charge of Cyber Policy and Deputy Director-General of Foreign Policy Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA) led the Japanese delegation, and Mr. Maciej STADEJEK, Deputy Managing Director for Peace, Security and Defence, European External Action Service led the EU delegation, with the participation of officials from MOFA, Cabinet Secretariat, National Police Agency (NPA), Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Ministry of Defense (MOD), and JPCERT/CC on the Japanese side, and European External Action Service, European Commission, and the Delegation of the European Union to Japan on the EU side.
- In this dialogue, the two sides exchanged views on various topics, such as cybersecurity strategies and policies of Japan and the EU, challenges in the cyber domain, bilateral and multilateral cooperation including in the UN, and capacity building assistance.
- Both sides confirmed that they will continue to closely work together in the cyber domain including through the Japan-EU Cyber Dialogue.
