Courtesy call on Foreign Minister IWAYA by Australian parliamentary delegation

On October 22, from 10:00 a.m. for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. IWAYA Takeshi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from Senator Slade Brockman, Parliament of the Commonwealth, Mr Dylan Wight MP, Parliament of Victoria and Mr Martin Cameron MP, Parliament of Victoria, during their visit to Japan under the 31st Japan-Australia Political Exchange Program.
The overview of the courtesy call is as follows.
- At the outset, Minister Iwaya welcomed the Australian delegation and stated that personnel exchanges, including visits between parliamentarians from both countries, serve as a bridge that supports firendly relationship between Japan and Australia.
- Minister Iwaya and the Australian parliamentary delegation exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, including in resources, energy and housing, as well as economic field and confirmed their commitment to further developing bilateral relations in a wide range of areas in the future.
