Letter of Condolences by Foreign Minister KAMIKAWA on the Passing of Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Gervasi of the Republic of Peru
On September 19 (local time; on September 18), following the passing of H.E. Ms. Ana Cecilia GERVASI DÍAZ，Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Peru on September 9 (local time; on September 8) Ms. KAMIKAWA Yoko, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan sent a letter of condolences to H.E. Mr. Elmer José Germán Gonzalo SCHIALER SALCEDO, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Peru.
In the letter, Minister Kamikawa conveyed her heartfelt condolences to former Foreign Minister Gervasi upon receiving the news of her passing. Minister Kamikawa also expressed her respect for the former Minister Gervasi, who further strengthened bilateral relations with Japan, a “strategic partner”, through her visit to Japan on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries in 2023 and her deepest condolences to the bereaved family of the former Minister Gervasi.
