Attendance by Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Fukazawa at TICAD Ministerial Meeting Thematic Event "Africa-Japan Youth Drive (Co-creation for the Future Envisioned by Youth)" (Results)
On August 24, ,Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Fukazawa Yoichi attended the TICAD Ministerial Meeting’s thematic event "Africa-Japan Youth Drive (Co-creation for the Future Envisioned by Youth)" and delivered closing remarks.
In his closing remarks, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Fukazawa stated that the voices of the next generation, who will carry the future, are an important element of the TICAD process, and expressed his hope that the future vision of the youth will provide clues to solving global issues that Japan and Africa can co-create. He also expressed his hope that the activities of the Youth Drive, which began this year, will continue after TICAD 9 in August next year, and expressed his expectations for its future development.
The concept promotes policy making that incorporates the perspectives of future generations and aims to create a sustainable society through the participation of virtual future generations in decision making.
