Japan-Poland Foreign Ministers' Telephone Talk

On July 3, commencing at 4:00 p.m. for approximately 25 minutes, Ms. KAMIKAWA Yoko, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, had a call with H.E. Mr. Radosław SIKORSKI, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. The overview is as follows.
- Minister Kamikawa expressed her pleasure on having had the call since their meeting in January this year and explained the progress in bilateral relations since the meeting. The two confirmed to continue working together to strengthen relations, including Poland's participation in the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
- The two ministers exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine. Minister Kamikawa stated that Japan would continue to cooperate with Poland, which is accepting a large number of Ukrainian evacuees, and that she would also encourage cooperation between Polish and Japanese companies in relation to reconstruction. Minister Sikorski explained Poland's response to the situation, saying that he would like to continue to cooperate with Japan.
In addition, the two ministers exchanged views on the Indo-Pacific and other issues and concurred on continuing their close bilateral discussions.
