Attacks by Iran against Israel
(Statement by Foreign Minister KAMIKAWA Yoko)

  1. From the night of April 13th to early April 14th (local time), the Islamic Republic of Iran conducted attacks against the State of Israel using drones and missiles.
  2. Japan is deeply concerned about the attacks, which further deteriorate the current situation in the Middle East, and strongly condemns such an escalation.
  3. Japan has been strongly urging the parties concerned to calm down the situation as peace and stability in the Middle East is extremely important for Japan as well. Japan reiterates its determination to continue to make all necessary diplomatic efforts in order to prevent the further deterioration of the situation, while taking all possible measures to protect Japanese nationals abroad.
