Courtesy Call on Parliamentary Vice Minister HOSAKA by Deputy Ministers of Internal Affairs and of Economy of Ukraine

On April 10, commencing at 11:30 a.m. for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. HOSAKA Yasushi, Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from Mr. Bogdan DRAPIATYI, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and Mr. Ihor BEZKARAVAINYI, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, during their visit to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows.
- Parliamentary Vice Minister HOSAKA welcomed Deputy Minister DRAPIATYI and Deputy Minister BEZKARAVAINYI and noted that Japan stands with all the people of Ukraine and will continue to contribute to recovery and reconstruction including mine action in Ukraine.
- The deputy ministers expressed their gratitude for Japan's support to Ukraine. Both sides concurred that Japan and Ukraine would continue to work together to strengthen mine action in Ukraine.

The purpose of their visit is to contribute to strengthening mine action in Ukraine through an on-site visit regarding demining machines, etc. Prior to arriving in Japan, the delegation participated in a training program on mine action conducted in Cambodia by the Japan International Cooperation Agency in collaboration with the Cambodian side.
