Japan-Ukraine Foreign Ministers’ Telephone Talk

On April 8, commencing at 5:05 p.m., Ms. KAMIKAWA Yoko, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, held a telephone talk with H.E. Mr. Dmytro Kuleba, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, for approximately 25 minutes. The overview is as follows.
- At the outset, Foreign Minister Kamikawa expressed her sincere respect for the courage and perseverance shown by the people of Ukraine, and stated that Japan will never waver in its position of standing together with Ukraine.
- Foreign Minister Kuleba expressed his gratitude for Minister Kamikawa's visit to Ukraine in January and renewed his deep appreciation for Japan’s support extended thus far, and also explained the current situation in Ukraine.
- The two ministers concurred that they will continue to work closely together.
