Meeting between Vice Minister Okano and Deputy Secretary Campbell

On March 11, commencing at 10:45 am (local time), for approximately 1 hour, Mr. OKANO Masataka, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, held a meeting with the Honorable Kurt M. Campbell, Deputy Secretary of State of the United States of America. The overview of the meeting is as follows.
The two sides exchanged their views on Japan-U.S. relations and a broad range of regional issues, and discussed the upcoming official visit of Prime Minister Kishida to the U.S. in April.
They concurred on continuing to closely cooperate with each other for the success of the visit amid various challenges the international society faces.
