Visit of H.E. Mr. Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to Japan

From March 12 to 14, H.E. Mr. Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will make a working visit to Japan as a guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
- During his stay in Japan, Director General Grossi will hold meetings with senior officials, including Foreign Minister KAMIKAWA Yoko. He will also visit Fukushima Prefecture.
- Japan attaches importance to the work of the IAEA, which plays a significant role in promoting nuclear non-proliferation and the peaceful uses of nuclear energy. Director General Grossi’s visit to Japan is expected to contribute to the further strengthening of the relationship between Japan and the IAEA, in wide range of areas including the response to the discharge of ALPS treated water into the sea.
