Exchange of Notes concerning Grant Aid to Ukraine “the Programme for Emergency Recovery (Phase 3)”
On February 19, 2024, H.E. Mr. MATSUDA Kuninori, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine and Ms. Anna Yurchenko, Deputy Minister for European Integration, Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine signed and exchanged notes for the Grant Aid “the Programme for Emergency Recovery (Phase 3)” (grant amount: 15.8 billion yen) in Tokyo. This exchange was announced at the Japan-Ukraine Conference for Promotion of Economic Growth and Reconstruction held on the same day.
This cooperation will provide the Government of Ukraine, which has been suffering from Russian aggression, with assistance in the areas of (1) unexploded ordnance and mine action, (2) electricity and energy, (3) transportation, and (4) public private partnership. This will thereby contribute to the rapid recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine.
