Message of condolences issued by Foreign Minister KAMIKAWA Yoko following the damages caused by wildfires in Central and Southern Chile

On February 9 (local time; on February 8), regarding the devastating damages caused by the wild fires in Central and Southern Chile, Foreign Minister KAMIKAWA Yoko sent the following messages of condolences to H.E. Mr. Alberto Leo van Klaveren Stork, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Chile.
“I am deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the recent large-scale wildfires in Central and Southern Chile. I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the people and the Government of Chile. Japan stands with Chile and its people in this most difficult time. I send my prayers to the victims and offer my deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I hope for the earliest possible recovery from this disaster.”
