Foreign Minister Kamikawa’s visit to the Independent State of Samoa and Attendance at the the Ministerial Interim Meeting of the Pacific Islands Leaders Meeting (PALM)
Ms. KAMIKAWA Yoko, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, will visit the Independent State of Samoa and attend the Ministerial Interim Meeting of the Pacific Islands Leaders Meeting (PALM) in the Republic of Fiji from February 9 to 12, 2024, as far as the situation allows.
In the Ministerial Interim Meeting, the participants will review progress on the outcomes of PALM 9, which was held in July 2021, and exchange views on PALM 10, which will be held in 2024.

The meeting is to review progress on the outcomes of the previous PALM and exchange views on the next PALM. This is the 5th meeting.
PIF members are the Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Australia and New Zealand.
