The Third Consultations on Consular Affairs
between Japan and the Kingdom of Thailand

  1. On December 1, the Third Consultations on Consular Affairs between Japan and the Kingdom of Thailand were held in Bangkok.They were attended on the Japanese side by officials headed by Mr. ANDO Toshihide, Director-General of the Consular Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and on the Thai side by officials headed by Mr. Rooge THAMMONGKOL, Director-General of Consular Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.
  2. The participants exchanged views on mutual interests in the consular issues　including protection of own nationals with the aim of further activating personal exchanges between two countries. They confirmed that they will continue to cooperate closely in the consular field.
  3. The next consultations will be held in Tokyo and be scheduled through diplomatic channels.
