Congratulatory Message from Foreign Minister KAMIKAWA Yoko to Foreign Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, H.E. Mr. Xavier BETTEL

On 28 November, following the appointment of H.E. Mr. Xavier BETTEL, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Affairs, Cooperation and Foreign Trade of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Ms. KAMIKAWA Yoko, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, sent a congratulatory letter to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bettel.
- In the letter, while congratulating Minister Bettel on his appointment, and referring that Foreign Minister Bettel visited Japan twice in 2022 during his tenure as Prime Minister, Minister Kamikawa expressed her intention to work closely with Minister Bettel to further strengthen bilateral relations with Luxembourg, a partner that shares values and principles such as freedom, democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.
- Minister Kamikawa also conveyed her desire to work closely with Minister Bettel to contribute to maintaining and strengthening the free and open international order based on the rule of law, including response to Russia's aggression against Ukraine as well as the situation surrounding Israel and Palestine, and efforts to realize a “free and open Indo-Pacific”.
