Entry into Force of the Japan-Angola Investment Agreement
On 21 June (same day local time), the Government of Japan received from the Government of the Republic of Angola the notification confirming the completion of the internal procedures necessary for the entry into force of the "Agreement between Japan and the Republic of Angola for the Liberalisation, Promotion and Protection of Investment". Accordingly, this Agreement will enter into force on July 21, 2024.
This Agreement provides for comprehensive and detailed rules regarding liberalisation, promotion and protection of investment between Japan and the Republic of Angola. The entry into force of this Agreement will contribute to promotion of the bilateral investments as well as further development of economic relations between the two countries.
