Courtesy Call on Mr. HOSAKA, Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs by Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine

On November 14, commencing at 3:10p.m.for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. HOSAKA Yasushi, Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from Mr. Ihor Kuzin, Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine, Ministry of Health of Ukraine during his visit to Japan. The overview of the meeting is as follows.
- Parliamentary Vice Minister Hosaka welcomed Mr. Ihor Kuzin, Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine, and the delegation of the Ministry of Health and Disaster Medical Center of Ukraine to Japan, and expressed his wish to share Japan's experience in medical care during disasters such as the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, and to contribute to strengthening Ukraine's emergency medical care system.
- Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine, Mr. Kuzin, expressed his gratitude for Japan's support to Ukraine and agreed that Japan and Ukraine would continue to work together to strengthen the medical and health care system in Ukraine.
(Reference) Destination and Purpose of Visit
Mr. Kuzin and a delegation of officials from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Disaster Medical Center visited Japan. The purpose of their visit is to contribute to the establishment and strengthening of the disaster medical management system in Ukraine through inspections of training of Disaster Medical Assistance Team in the Hyogo Prefecture, disaster medical hospitals and so on.
